Youth Council
The Living Room Conversations Youth Council brings together young people from all over the country to foster cultural, political, and racial understanding through small group conversations.
We hope to inspire youth participation in our own communities and beyond by providing resources, tools, and space for conversation.
What do we do?
In light of the recent tragedies that happen all too often, our Youth Council got together to have a conversation about what role guns have played in their lives. The question was taken from our “Guns and Responsibility” guide.
Organize and host conversations with other youth and adults of diverse perspectives
Meet monthly to share project ideas and check in around ongoing programs
Participate in leadership training and volunteer opportunities to help bring Living Room Conversations into our local communities
Train other youth to hold their own conversations
